Pre-Care Instructions for Eyebrows, Lips, and Eyeliner

Eyebrows Precare Instructions:

  • Clear Skin: Ensure your skin is free of irritations, such as blemishes, eczema, and psoriasis.

  • Medication Wait Time: If you've been on Accutane medication, wait at least six months before getting a cosmetic tattoo.

  • Avoid Certain Supplements: Stop taking Fish Oil, Vitamin C, Glucosamine, Evening Primrose Oil, and Ginger one week before your appointment, as they can thin your blood and affect the pigment's implantation.

  • Skincare Products: Don't use anti-aging, skin brightening, or anti-acne skincare products containing Alpha Hydroxy (AHA), Vitamin A, or Retinol for 30 days before your appointment.

  • No Skin Treatments: Avoid facials, microdermabrasion, microneedling, peels, or laser treatments for at least four weeks before your appointment.

  • Cosmetic Injections: Refrain from forehead cosmetic injections for at least two weeks before your appointment.

  • Blood-Thinning Medication: Only discontinue these medications if it's safe for your health, and consult your doctor: Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Advil, Niacin, Voltaren, Indocid, prenatal vitamins, Vitamin E, or nutritional shakes.

  • Exercise: Don't work out on the day of your procedure.

  • Sun Tanning: Avoid sun tanning or tanning beds for two weeks before the procedure. Sunburned skin may lead to improper healing.

  • Hair Removal: Refrain from tweezing, threading, waxing, tinting, or electrolysis one week before the procedure.

  • Scar Healing: Make sure any surgical or injury scars are fully healed for at least one year before your appointment.

  • Alcohol and Caffeine: Avoid alcohol and caffeine products for 24 hours before the procedure.

Following these simple guidelines will help ensure a successful cosmetic tattoo eyebrow procedure and optimal healing.

Eyeliner Precare Instructions:

  • No Mascara: Don't wear mascara on the day of your procedure.

  • Clean Eyes: Ensure your eyes are free of makeup and moisturizer.

  • Bring Sunglasses: Bring sunglasses to wear home, as your eyes may be light-sensitive.

  • Eyeglasses: If you wear eyeglasses, please bring them to your appointment.

  • Contact Lenses: Remove contact lenses before the procedure.

  • Light Sensitivity: Consider having a ride home after the procedure if you are sensitive to light. Have sunglasses ready as your eyes may be dilated afterward.

  • Lash Tinting: Avoid lash tinting for two weeks before the procedure. Do not dye or perm lashes for 10 days prior.

  • Previous Eye Surgeries: If you've had Lasik or Cataract Surgery, you must obtain medical clearance from your physician.

  • Eyelash Extensions: Remove eyelash extensions one week before your eyeliner procedure.

  • Eyelash Serums: Discontinue using eyelash serums like Latisse four weeks before the procedure.

  • No Botox Near Eyes: No botox injections in the eye area for two weeks before the procedure.

  • Skin Condition: Ensure your skin is free of irritations, including blemishes, eczema, and psoriasis.

  • Accutane Medication: If you've been on Accutane medication, wait for one year before getting a Permanent Cosmetic Tattoo.

  • Avoid Blood-Thinning Substances: Stop taking Fish Oil, Vitamin C, Glucosamine, Evening Primrose Oil, Ginger, and Ginko one week before your appointment, as they can thin the blood and affect pigment implantation. Continued use may result in a patchy healed result.

  • Skincare Products: Discontinue the use of anti-aging, skin brightening, or anti-acne skincare products containing Alpha Hydroxy (AHA), Vitamin A, or Retinol for 30 days before your appointment. Even if you don't use them near the treatment area, these products can spread under the skin, leading to patchy healing. Resume your usual skincare routine approximately 6 weeks after your final session.

  • No Skin Treatments: Do not schedule any facials, microdermabrasion, microneedling, peels, or laser treatments for at least 4 weeks before your appointment.

  • Blood-Thinning Medication: Avoid blood-thinning medication for at least 72 hours before the procedure unless it's unsafe for your health. Consult your doctor before stopping medications like Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Advil, Niacin, Voltaren, Indocid, prenatal vitamins, Vitamin E, or nutritional shakes. Tylenol is recommended for those with a low pain tolerance.

  • No Exercise on Procedure Day: Do not work out on the day of the procedure.

  • Sun Tanning: Avoid sun tanning or tanning beds for 2 weeks before the procedure. Sunburned skin can negatively affect pigment retention.

  • Scar Healing: Scars from surgery or injury must be fully healed for at least one year before getting the service.

  • No Alcohol or Caffeine: Do not drink alcohol 24 hours before your procedure, and avoid coffee or other caffeine products for the same period.

Lip blush Precare Instructions:

  • Sun and Tanning: Absolutely NO sun, sweating, or tanning up to 1 week before and after the procedure. Avoid sun exposure on your face, as tanned skin can exfoliate, taking color with it.

  • Exercise: Do not work out on the day of the procedure as body heat expands pores. Avoid heavy sweating for the first week after the procedure, as sweat is salty and can cause fading.

  • Facial Treatments: Avoid all facial treatments (e.g., BOTOX, LASER, FILLERS, CHEMICAL PEELS, COSMETIC SURGERIES) for one month before and six weeks before your appointment to prevent complications.

  • Alcohol and Caffeine: Refrain from alcohol and caffeine before the procedure to minimize oozing or swelling afterward.

  • Menstrual Cycle: Avoid scheduling the procedure during your menstrual cycle as it can make the treated area hyper-sensitive.

  • Accutane Medication: You must be off Accutane for 1 year with NO exceptions.

  • Oily Skin: If you have oily skin, expect softer results, and additional procedures may be needed. Eyebrows, for example, can appear solid.

  • Dark Skin Types: Note that permanent makeup may not appear as bold as on lighter skin types (e.g., Indian, African American, Filipino, etc.).

  • Medications: Do NOT take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, or Ibuprofen unless medically necessary 48-72 hours before the procedure. Tylenol is acceptable.

  • Cold Sores: If you're prone to cold sores, get prescribed cold sore medication from your doctor before the procedure. It can help prevent breakouts on your lips triggered by the procedure.

  • Sunlight: Avoid sun exposure for about two weeks after the procedure. Sun can fade the pigment as it settles into your skin.
